Fundraising Camp Lunch 27th May 2012

 

An event to support Patricia and her ‘Ride Around The Corner for Legacy’ was held at the home of Burnie Clifford in Gympie on the 27^thMay.

Jenny and Leon Pethick, members of Patricia’s support team sincerely thank Burnie for not only opening his home and garden for this event but all the work involved with the meal preparation and cooking.



All of the guests were most generous in supporting the raffles and offering assistance on the day.

The ambience of a Garden Party setting enhanced by the sunny weather made for a relaxing afternoon of Wine, Old fashioned Food and convivial conversation.

Burnie Clifford was our Camp Oven Cook in charge of Meat and Vegetables. An old fashioned roast menu was the order of the day with comfort desserts from childhood. 

Raffle Prizes donated by the Gympie business community raised $500 and the grand total for the afternoon was $1300.

All who attended agreed it was a most pleasant way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Leon and Jenny wish to thank all those who helped, especially Barbara and Terry Stringfellow and Maurice and Merle Reed for their help over the weekend.
